We are flying from STL to Frankfurt on May 17 on Lufthansa on a flight that we booked on United miles. Do we check in at the Lufthansa desk or the United desk?
All airlines excluding Southwest, Lufthansa and charter flights operate out of Terminal 1. Southwest, Lufthansa and charter flights operate out of Terminal 2. Lufthansa has their own check in counter inside terminal 2. Terminal 2 is also where the Customs and Immigration facility is located. If you booked a ticket to Frankfurt on the United site for travel out of STL and the flight is operated by Lufthansa out of STL then check in at the Lufthansa check in counter inside Terminal 2. Lufthansa departs from gate E29 out of Terminal 2.
